Associate Certification Exams for Key Autodesk Software Products
Extended to 165 Countries
SAN RAFAEL, Calif., Aug 02, 2010 (BUSINESS WIRE) --
Autodesk,
Inc. (NASDAQ:ADSK) announced the expanded availability of the Associate
Certification exam to 165 countries through an alliance with Pearson
VUE Testing Centers, a leading provider of global computer-based
services. This partnership provides opportunities to Autodesk customers
and partners in markets where certification has not been previously
available, enabling them to certify their 2D and 3D technology skills
and remain competitive in the global marketplace.
"We are looking forward to working with Autodesk to implement their
certification program in our proctored centers," said Robert Whelan,
president and chief executive officer of Pearson VUE. "We're confident
that our testing system and state-of-the-art testing centers will
provide the consistency, control, security and coverage Autodesk
requires, while providing greater convenience for their candidates."
Autodesk currently has a network more than 1,900 Authorized
Training Centers (ATC) in 24 countries, many of which are also
Authorized Certification Centers. These centers deliver both the
Associate- and the Professional-level exams and are able to offer
training. Autodesk Authorized Training Centers must meet rigorous
standards and are well equipped to prepare candidates to successfully
achieve the globally recognized certification. The partnership with
Pearson VUE enhances the offerings of the current Autodesk Authorized
Certification Centers by expanding the availability and convenience for
customers to schedule exams, as well as driving demand for more training
services. Pearson VUE can accommodate customers who are only interested
in taking an Associate Certification Exam, and do not desire training,
permitting more flexibility in the certification program.
"As the global marketplace becomes more competitive, we know our users
are looking to differentiate themselves," said Joe Astroth, Autodesk's
chief education officer. "Becoming certified in Autodesk software is one
of the best ways to demonstrate technical expertise to current and
future employers."
Availability
Autodesk Associate Certification through Pearson VUE is available for
professionals using AutoCAD,
AutoCAD
Civil 3D, Autodesk
3ds Max Design, Autodesk
Inventor and Autodesk
Revit Architecture software. Design and engineering professionals
can take the certification exams in English, German, Portuguese, and
Traditional Chinese. The new 2011 product exams will be available
beginning in August.
In addition, Autodesk will offer free certification for the second year
in a row at Autodesk
University, as well as a preparation lab, offering assessment and
practice tests and a study room with study materials.
