Autodesk Sets Example for Integrated Project Delivery at Architecture,
Engineering and Construction Division HQ
SAN RAFAEL, Calif., Aug 03, 2010 (BUSINESS WIRE) --
Autodesk,
Inc. (NASDAQ:ADSK), a world leader in 2D and 3D
design, engineering and entertainment software, today announced that
the facility that houses its East Coast headquarters has received 13
industry awards in recognition of its innovative design and
collaborative building process.
The building, constructed in 2009 and located at 1560 Trapelo Road in
Waltham, Mass., is certified LEED Commercial Interior Platinum and LEED
Core & Shell Gold. The Trapelo Road facility is also New England's first
example of 100% integrated project delivery (IPD), a building process
that helps architecture, engineering and construction (AEC)
professionals to exceed client demands by easing and integrating the
collaborative efforts of owners, architects, engineers, construction
managers, fabricators and end users at the earliest possible stage of
any project.
"The Trapelo Road project was truly an opportunity for us to showcase
our software's capabilities and embrace the building processes we deem
so important," said Phil Bernstein, FAIA, LEED AP and vice president,
industry strategy and relations, Autodesk AEC Solutions. "As a company,
we are the foremost proponents of the collaborative, environmental and
cost-savings advantages of building information modeling and integrated
project delivery. The work on this project was our chance to shine--and
we ran with it. We are tremendously pleased with the Trapelo Road

was the rest of the industry."
